Revisiting MULSID's Design

MitchMitch • May 24, 2026

MULSID originally used a character-based internal layout that split a timestamp and randomness across different positions of a 10-character ID. After revisiting this model, it was redesigned around bit-packing instead, resulting in a cleaner internal structure and collision resistance while preserving the original compact, sortable requirements.

Mini Unique Lexicographically-Sortable ID
